Hatfield alumni, welcome to the JCR website! As former members of the JCR, this is just as much your website as the current students’, and we hope you can make good use of it. We know that Hatfielders have gone on to many wonderful and varied things after graduating, and hope that this website can act as a hub for you all, ambitious we know! Please also let us know if there are things you would like to see added to this page.

We hope you have seen our blog and caught up on the things current Hatfielders are getting up to. We would love if alumni would consider writing something for our blog, which will be posted in the ‘alumni’ section. Maybe it could be an account of your time here, your most memorable moment or what you have gone into since graduating. We would love to hear your stories, and I’m sure you would love to read each other’s too!
Please send any submissions to hatfield.jcr@durham.ac.uk and we will post them straight up.

The Hatfield Association

The importance of a sense of belonging is at the heart of the famous Hatfield spirit. Once a Hatfielder, always a Hatfielder. Year on year our graduates go out in the wider world enriched by the Hatfield spirit to join the network of Hatfield alumni.

The Hatfield Association is the main group that maintains relations with alumni, and keeps them updated through a programme of alumni events as well as the annual publication, the Hatfield Record.

You can find out some more information about the Association on the Hatfield Association and Hatfield Trust page on this website.

Hatfield Business Lions

Do you remember how it felt trying to find a job after you graduated? Many current students struggle to find work experience placements, or even get access to sound advice that might help them along their way.

The Hatfield Business Lions is a scheme whereby alumni give some basic information about their field of work since graduating, and a contact email address. Current Hatfielders can then search all the Business Lions, and contact those who have experience in the fields they are interested in.

This is an invaluable resource for current students, so a huge thank you to all those who are currently Business Lions.

If you would be interested in becoming a Business Lion and offering your advice to current Hatfield students, please see the Hatfield Lions webpage on the college website for more information.

Any details given are secure and can only be accessed by current Hatfield students.

Through the year there are many reunion events to which alumni are invited and welcomed. This might be part of individual clubs or societies, or through the Hatfield Association. Please stay tuned here for details of upcoming alumni events, we would be honoured to see you back in college!

You can find out about Reunions & Events on the college website and, once you have joined the Hatfield Association (by paying the subscription fee) by registering for the Hatfield Association website.
