We are well aware that coming to university from abroad can be incredibly daunting, but Hatfield works tirelessly to settle you into life in college, wherever you have come from! Students from around the world study at Hatfield and contribute to its diverse community.
International students arrive a few days before home students. During this time, you'll have the chance to settle in, sleep off some of the jet lag, and get to know Durham and the UK. The Frep team will be on hand to show you around Durham, help you enrol and get sorted with phones and bank accounts. Check out the Freshers' Week page for more information about International Week.
Hatfield offers a range of room let options, so you can easily be accommodated if you plan to stay in college for the holidays. While the dining hall does not operate outside of term-time, there are kitchen facilities available in H Stairs.
If you have any questions about the international experience at Hatfield, please feel free to contact our Senior International Rep, Brandon Roberts, or get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional information is available from the university's International Office.
