Hello! I'm Henry, a third-year Physics student. As Treasurer, my primary role is to oversee financial strategy, planning, and management, ensuring the longevity of the JCR finances while providing the best possible experience for our members!
I currently live out in Gilesgate, but you'll often find me behind the mixing desk at our events or doing something tech-related with DST in the Assembly Rooms Theatre! I’m always happy to talk about how we can improve the JCR, so please feel free to get in touch or come to my office hours!
Office hours offer an opportunity to come and speak to me. You may be a society treasurer with questions about your accounts or someone interested in the budget for freshers week or maybe you’d like to speak about setting up a payment plan to make paying for something more accesible.

Things I’m Working On
Sports and Societies Finances
I’ve been working on a new structure and system for the finances of Sports and Societies. This will give sports and societies more control over their finances and more possiblitiy to grow and develop. The old system exposed the JCR to an amount of financial risk which this system won’t.
Formals
The JCR puts a lot of money into formals making them a. much more affordable price for JCR members. I’ve been looking into ways we can make the formals even more accesible.
Sponsorhip and Investments
I’ve been working hard exploring possible relationships with external companies which could allow for a range of benefits for JCR members. This could be purely financial benefits, meaning we can improve our members’ exeperience even more; alternatively their could be other benefits that offer unique and special opporunities to JCR members.
